Brand assets

Logos, marks, brand colors, gradients and the rules around them. Use these to attribute Merkl correctly when displaying Merkl-sourced data, claim flows, or partner co-branding.

Logos

The Merkl mark sits in dark theme by default. Light theme is the secondary application. Never recolor, gradient-fill, outline, or skew it.

Favicon

Use for browser tabs, app icons, profile pictures, and any small surface where the full mark won't read.

Powered by Merkl

For attribution where a single mark is too small to read, use the "Powered by Merkl" lockup. The canonical asset includes built-in clear space. The condensed variants are for tight surfaces where padding is constrained.

Merkl Studio

Sub-brand lockup for the Studio surface (B2B, protocol operators). Use only in Studio contexts. Don't combine with the main Merkl logotype on the same surface.

Logo do's and don'ts

The mark and lockups carry brand recognition. Treat them as fixed components, not editable shapes.

Do

Do: dark theme
Use the mark on dark surfaces, monochrome.
Do: light theme
Use the mark on light surfaces in dark navy.
Do: icon
Use the symbol alone for small surfaces and app icons.
Do: clearspace
Maintain clear space equal to the cap height of the M.

Don't

Don't: recolor
Don't recolor the mark with brand-only hues.
Don't: rotate
Don't rotate or tilt the mark.
Don't: distort
Don't stretch, squash, or distort the proportions.
Don't: outline
Don't outline. The mark is solid fill.
Don't: shadow
Don't add shadows, glows, or any effect.
Don't: low contrast
Don't place the mark on a low-contrast background.
Don't: brand combo
Don't combine the mark with another brand inline.
Don't: misspell
Don't misspell or alter the wordmark.

Minimum size

Below the minimums, the mark stops reading. For ultra-small surfaces, use the favicon variant instead.

Co-branding

For partner co-branding, place the Merkl logo next to the partner mark separated by a thin vertical rule, both at equal optical height. Use the symbol, not the logotype, in the lockup.

Naming in copy

"Merkl" is always Title Case. Product names take Title Case (Merkl App, Merkl Studio, Merkl Pay). Features take sentence case (Reward forwarding, Cross-chain boost).
