# GET /v4/proofs/{chainId}/{root}

_Merkl API_

Beta feature (not production ready yet) - Paginated Merkle proofs of the tree or lastTree root of a chain. Requires an API key.

### Path parameters

- `chainId` (string | number) _(required)_
- `root` (string) _(required)_: Hex Merkle root, or `tree` / `lastTree` for the current onchain roots

### Query parameters

- `cursor` (string): `nextCursor` of the previous page. Omit it for the first page.
- `items` (string | number)

## Responses

- **200** Response for status 200
